Our story

Here's how we got there.

2018

A team of 6 from TU Delft and RoboHouse built the first proof of principle during a robotics minor.

2019

Odd.Bot received its first funding from TMI Proof of Concept Fund Flevoland.

2020

A working prototype is tested during the growing season with real results and real weeds.

2021

Wageningen University validated Odd.Bot’s precision at the Farm of the Future.

2022

Extensive testing of the second-generation robot with improved control and vision AI.

2023

5 farmers used the Weed Whacko under a "Weeding as a Service" model, paying per hectare, not per hour.

Field-tested in 2022

Quirky

Our second-generation 3-wheeler robot, validated at Wageningen’s Farm of the Future. Quirky laid the groundwork for AI-driven weeding with real-life testing in row crops.

Commercial launch in 2023

Weed Whacko

Two systems hit the field as part of our Weeding-as-a-Service pilot. Five farmers paid per hectare to keep their crops clean, without the use of chemicals.

Full system, live since 2024

Maverick

Onze meest geavanceerde opstelling tot nu toe: modulaire onkruidbestrijdingswerktuigen gecombineerd met een autonome drager met vier wielen. Maverick wordt nu verkocht als complete oplossing of plug-in tooling voor andere OEM's.
